Pencil, Ink wash, and white pencil for some highlights, with a bit of color/contrast tweaking in Photoshop. Took me about two hours to complete.

Bloody messes are fun to paint with ink. I got the paper wet and then dabbed straight ink into it, and watched it bloom and swirl into those beautiful patterns.
